Here is my book cover I had created for yet another competition which was to create a new cover for Goodnight Mister Tom for Puffin Books. I had gone through many illustrations of this, but I had then decided to make the book cover look as if its an old war photo that had been damaged. I feel like this was realistically done with the designs and effects I had added. I decided to use a photo of me to avoid any copyright issues and I feel like it worked perfectly. The main photo of me is blurred for a design purpose as the photo I had used was from 2008, therefore the quality wasn't the greatest but it also helped enhance the quality of cameras used back in the 1930s to '40s which is when this book's story is based. I feel like I could have a very good chance of winning this however at the time of adding this, I have no information on the results. However, if I don't win I will still be very happy as it taught me new skills in photoshop and how to use new functions that I previously didn't know.
