Here is my book cover. Firstly, this was my favourite project I had done during my First Year of college. I could be more autonomous creatively. I had decided to remake a book cover for Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling. Immediately I knew that I had wanted to go down a route of having the goblet with the golden egg displayed on the front of the book as that is the main purpose of the film - retrieving the golden egg. I had used Mixed Media in this, letting through drawn pattern designs into the design to give it more texture. Not only that but it was around this time I had started to dabble in using a drawing tablet, therefore my goblet was drawn by hand - all of it. I had then wanted to include the dragon into the cover, so I had made it by creating a stencil of the dragon and using a sponge pallet in the shade of whites and greys to create the details. I had then overlayed colour in photoshop to make it blue and orange just below which can be briefly seen. I ha only used Mixed Media and I had enjoyed it from our brief just before and wanted to experiment more with.
